So this past weekend was a very busy weekend! On Saturday, my husband had to take a trip to Roanoke for work and I tagged along. My reward for going was that on our way back we were going to stop along the way and check out some wineries we hadn't been to before. We were able to check out 2 on Saturday and then because the weather was so nice Sunday we headed out and checked out 2 more.
First up on Saturday was Rockbridge Vineyard in Raphine, VA. This is a small family run winery set smack dab in the middle of a beautiful country side. The tasting room is inside a barn where humans and furry friends are welcomed as soon as the door opens. The winery has 20-25 wines on their tasting list, you can try some or all, for the affordable price of Free! Everyone is so friendly and inviting that we didn't want to leave. We will be back for sure!!!
Next up on Saturday was Barren Ridge Vineyards in Fishersville, VA. Another beautiful countryside vineyard. There was a wedding going on that day so we did not get to see their actual tasting room and venue but we were welcomed to a tasting up the hill in a quaint wooden cabin. The wines were refreshing and the views were wonderful!
